Alert ready system

Alert Ready can now send emergency alerts to your cell phone and other wireless devices. This nationwide system warns you about emergencies in your area so that you can take action. Check out Alert Ready to see if your mobile device is compatible. You can also find out when the next test of the Alert Ready system is to take place.

Emergency Planning in Elgin County

Elgin County has an active Emergency Response Plan focused on emergency preparedness, response, prevention, mitigation, and recovery. This plan is tested on a regular basis, as a requirement of the Emergency Management Act.
